Meh. After reading Joyland I thought perhaps I'd be categorically taken with either Stephen King and/or Hard Case Crime novels, but this one just didn't do it for me...The upside was that I couldn't help but picture the character of Lalu Malloy as Mike Ermentrout (sp?) from Breaking Bad, and I'll never turn down an opportunity to let my mind drift there...
